Q: Why age some beers in whiskey barrels while other you do not?

A: Some beers such as our Imperial Stout (coming out for Christmas) are better enhanced by the wooden barrels. Malty beers balance well with the natural flavors of the wooden barrels. Where as the more hoppy beers fight the flavor of the barrels rather than taking on the flavor. The complexity of the flavors of the yeast strain used.
